With the advent of computers into human life and parallel to the expansion of the Internet, many definitions and services have changed or are moving towards a radical evolution that is increasingly reflected in the effects of these changes in everyday life. This virtual world, called the third millennium phenomenon of human civilization, is one of its greatest achievements in e-learning, so the current era must be considered a fusion of communication and information.
This study is a review study using multiple sources in the field of e-learning with library and internet searches from 2010 to 2016 and concluded that the greatest impact of the emergence of information and communication technologies on It has been a learning environment. Accordingly, the use of information and communication technology in education has led educational environments to become virtualized, making it increasingly possible for people to communicate and learn through computer.
On the other hand, with the advent and expansion of the Internet, this medium has been used as a complement to information and educational needs so as to provide universities with a digital and digital environment for the provision of websites and databases. It has transformed information whose educational role is increasingly evident in this environment.
Therefore, the present article has attempted to present a comprehensive definition of ICT, the issue of e-learning, virtual education, distance education, and the role of ICT in this education, with emphasis on system education, Introduce virtual education and learning types.
