This study is descriptive in nature and based on documents and resources relevant to the subject. The scope and range of this research revolve around the Islamic economy, in line with the Quranic verses and narrations (hadiths). In this paper it is assumed that Islam – since it is the perfect religion and is derived from divine revelation – has introduced certain affairs to people as guidelines to develop a healthy economy, according to the requirements and nature of human beings, such that these guidelines give a value-based and spiritual rather than a mere material status to economy of the societies.
