Abstract
In light of the scientific development and globalization that our time is witnessing in the twenty-first century and the crowding out to present information and struggle to obtain the fastest ways and methods to reach the best results, the emergence of modern technology has led many interested in the educational and religious aspect to involve technology in education. All aspects of the educational process, which is represented by the student of knowledge, who is the most important axis in the educational process, and then the curricula and curricula that are the solid foundation of the educational process, and then the teacher or professor who is the element responsible for leading the educational process and in turn transmits the technological impact to the means of education. There is no doubt that technology greatly affects its users in all fields, and perhaps one of the most prominent of those fields is the educational field. Technology may contribute significantly to the educational process if it is employed well. What is the benefit of students who represent the main educational work, such as the main focus of their work. Technology helps to fill the shortage in the number of teachers and professors, through written lessons on computers or through the Internet, but the most important thing is not to be abused. The use of technology to the detriment of students, from students' addiction to computers and electronic devices, wasting time in front of these devices without benefit, as well as total dependence on them and neglecting the important role of the mind, which is the main pillar in the educational process. The importance of this study is highlighted by the great role of modern technology in our contemporary life and in all fields, especially its use in the religious educational system. Technology has provided a lot of effort and trouble for students, professors and researchers, especially after the increase in the number of people and students of knowledge and its wide spread in all fields. The aim of the study is to know the effect of modern technology on religious education by knowing the objectives and requirements for achieving the use of information technology within the educational institution in addition to showing the positive and negative effects of information technology, and with the aim of approaching objectivity and reaching logical conclusions, the study of the approach is required. In order to control the framework of the analysis related to the nature of the study, a random sample of religious studies students in Iraqi universities was selected for the purpose of conducting field study due to its importance in the field of work, and for the purpose of conducting the field study, by adopting the questionnaire form that consists of several axes prepared for this the purpose.
