Abstract
Cyberspace is one of the emerging phenomena of the present day which, with its features such as its attractiveness and wide variety in addition to its influence among different strata of society, has become a source of new identifiers that has brought about value conflicts and new challenges and challenges to the religious identity of societies; This can lead to the weakening of religious tendencies. In the meantime, religious institutions, as one of the fundamental pillars of societies in the face of accelerated cyberspace, face enormous opportunities and challenges; on the one hand, they must safeguard their own religious and national norms, and on the other - interact with cyberspace - Use it to further religious goals and counteract religious anomalies. However, the opportunities and challenges of religious institutions in cyberspace have not been thoroughly and thoroughly investigated, so this study uses descriptive-analytical method and library studies to explore the opportunities and challenges of religious institutions in cyberspace. Emphasis is placed on education. Some of the challenges posed by the inattention and weakness of religious institutions in cyberspace include: confronting religious laws, eradicating religious norms, influencing western culture and cultural alienation, sexual deviance, weakening family foundations, lack of familiarity Proponents of cyberspace, the overwhelming capture of cyberspace and widespread misgivings against religious foundations. Opportunities for religious institutions in cyberspace include: producing religious content, promoting religious information, countering religious doubts and intimidation, establishing virtual education centers, training religious professionals in cyberspace, reducing costs, Speed and uniformity of information.
