SUBJECT AND OBJECTIVES: Aided by technology lots of people nowadays use online media many hours per day; regardless a mere access, online media is mainly used to surf net, get directions, do e-shopping, chat with friends and share messages among its many other applications.METHOD AND FINDING: while the present research tries to answer how social media as a part of online life could be used in religion field to be familiar with different religions, exchange religious ideas and in general for interfaith dialogue for peacemaking purposes such as decreasing the extent of violence, massacres, genocides and wars human beings witness these days due to faith differences. Even scholars work in religion sciences encourage people from all over the world to read about and get familiar with other religions. So far many papers have been written on the issue and it is believed that this is the duty of the elites to discuss about the problem and lead the people to the right way.CONCLUSION: The present paper however suggests that social media users can apply it to discuss about faiths and exchange their relevant religious ideas if of course they know how to analyze, evaluate and synthesize contents without bias. The authors of the present paper believe that so far the skills for dealing with media products have not been publicized in many countries. Thus, following Potter’s media skills pattern, they refer to three skills of analysis, evaluation, and synthesis of media messages.

Today, with the help of technology, many people use social media for several hours a day; Regardless of Internet access and among the many applications, social media - mainly - is used for surfing the Internet, finding routes, shopping online, chatting with friends, and sharing messages. In this regard, the present study seeks to answer the question of how social media can be used to familiarize with different religions and sects, exchange religious beliefs and in general dialogue between religions and sects for peaceful purposes such as reducing violence. It used the killings, massacres and killings that we see today under the pretext of religious differences. In this regard, researchers of religious sciences also encourage people around the world to get acquainted with other religions; So far, many articles have been written on this subject, and it is said that it is the duty of the elites to discuss and exchange views on the existing problems and to guide the people to the right path. But the study argues that if social media users have the skills to analyze, evaluate, and produce concepts and content for religious education, they can play a significant role in conveying beliefs, exchanges, and beliefs-away from any prejudice. It seems that the skill of dealing with media products has not been taught in many countries so far; Therefore, following Potter's media skill model, three skills of analysis, evaluation and synthesis-production-media messages have been mentioned.

The Internet has become an integral part of our lives. Many lonely people look for a solution in a virtual environment. However, experts say that Internet addiction has caused disconnection from public life. Friendship sites, entertainment sites, games, etc. Many people now spend most of their time in front of a computer. Deception is common in online marriages. So many married couples already have two computers in the same house. Women spend time in a virtual environment on a separate computer, men on a separate computer. Or connecting to the Internet with mobile versions has become faster and easier. But it should be noted that the use of the virtual world can be directed in the right and positive direction. In this area, religious education has a strong role. Emphasizing the importance of using "fast horses" to protect the religion and spread Islamic knowledge, as commanded in Surat al-Imran, the Qur'an draws attention to the spread of religious knowledge, as if by the use of today's fast and superior media. Thus, through virtual education and enlightenment, it can play a high role, both scientifically and morally, as well as in terms of intellectual and spiritual guidance and nourishment in strengthening families.
